The Golden Paradise Beach Ratepayers & Residents Association Inc (GPBRRA) was incorporated in 1987 and registered its statement of purpose, which is still in place today;
"To promote the interest of its members in pursuing their rights and entitlements, and in particular community interest in the Golden Paradise Beach area for the interests of its members as shall be determined from time to time."
We are a not for profit Volunteer Organisation providing a range of services and advocacy for, and on behalf of, the communities of Golden Beach and Paradise Beach, in Gippsland, Victoria. This includes ratepayers (property owners), residents (legitimate renters) and business groups located within the town boundaries. We also support other registered local community groups.
The Association welcomes new member volunteers who wish to work together to achieve the Associations aims and objectives for serving the Golden and Paradise Beach communities. Membership enquiries can be directed to any Committee member or via email to secretary@goldenbeachgippsland.com.au
Once you complete a membership form, it will be presented at the next monthly Committee meeting to be voted on, and you will be notified of the results. All members are required to embrace our volunteer charter that is based largely on standards advocated by Volunteer Victoria. Successful applicants will then be invoiced the membership fee, and upon payment they become financial for the remainder of the financial year.
GENERAL INQUIRIES:
You may request a meeting with the GPBRRA committee representatives to discuss your issues/concerns. When attending the arranged meeting please bring all information and material that supports your discussion point. Your meeting will be with a Team Leader and Secretary and or the President. This process of discussion is open to Association members and non-members, and is provided as our direct communications with community members.
A number of "open Committee meetings" are held each year and all members, as well as general public are welcome to attend. Any financial member may vote on any resolution at a meeting, whereas non-members may not.
