Looking After the Park ( as posted by Parks Vic: 19/01/09)
"Campers are required to maintain a clean and tidy camp site at all times.

 Between December and Easter, bins are provided for campers'

 refuse at the Paradise Beach Camping Ground and west of Golden Beach".........

21/01/09 Please note: Parks Victoria has changed their position on providing bins for campers refuse.

You will now be requested to take your refuse with you when you leave and

Parks advises " It is inappropriate

and is illegal to deposit your rubbish in Shire bins".

The Golden Paradise Beach Rate Payers & Residents Association is making representations to have the previous system returned.

We would suggest that travellers and families from interstate may find it a little difficult to carry 5 to 6 days of camping refuse all the way home?

In 2009 the Golden Beach Rate Payers & Residents Association organised large Skip Bins for the use by campers during the Australia Day long Weekend. Our community enjoys your company and wants you to keep coming back each year without the fear of facing fines for illegal placement of rubbish in Shire Bins.

We recommend that if you find the removal of the refuse bins inappropriate and
